If you're using CHEXIT AI with an integrated scale, there are two ways to process transactions.

The first method is for items with a consistent price by weight. These are items where the price doesn't change frequently. For example, let's say ground beef is priced at $4.99 per pound.

You would select your Ground Beef button, place the item on the scale, and CHEXIT AI will automatically calculate the weight and add the item to your cart.

The second method is for variable-priced items. This is useful for products where the price changes frequently based on market conditions—for example, seafood with market-based pricing.

In this case, you would select the Produce by Weight button. CHEXIT AI will prompt you to enter the current price per pound. Let's say today's market price is $10 per pound. Enter $10, then select the item by weight.

The item will appear in your cart. If the item has been set up as EBT eligible, you can toggle the EBT eligibility flag on, then select Add to Cart. Once the transaction is complete, remove the item from the scale.

So, those are the two ways to use an integrated scale with CHEXIT AI: use a preconfigured item button for products with consistent pricing or use Produce by Weight when the price needs to be entered at the time of sale.
